12.00 Filmvisning: I Thought I Was Dreaming
14.00 Konstnärssamtal med Sarah Singh

I Thought I Was Dreaming is an abstract film work that explores the kaleidoscopic world of reflected images as an interpretation of culture, especially of the idea of the dream-like influence of foreign lands as a source for creativity, as seen in YSL’s India-inspired collection. Parallel to this world is a Warhol-esque portrait of Kirat Young who was India’s first supermodel and significantly associated with YSL during the 1970s-80s. Portrayed as a contemplative, cubistic portrait of an icon, she gazes out from within and beyond this intimate frame.

Sarah Singh is an award-winning artist and filmmaker whose works have been showcased all over the world in museums, galleries, think tanks, and universities. She was born to the Royal family of Patiala in India and spends her time primarily between India and New York City. In 2018, Sarah Singh launched a new international arts salon in India called PANORAMA EDITIONS which is a showcase for concept driven, curatorial experiences.
