Do you want to learn more about the museum and our exhibitions? Join a guided tour with our knowledgeable art guides. Every week, the museum offers public tours in Swedish and English as well as short introductions to the museum. Every other Sunday, family tours are held which are also aimed at our younger visitors.

The guided tours are included in the admission fee. We start in the Swedish Gallery! You do not need to book a place in advance.

Public tours, 45-60 min

The tour is led by one of our knowledgeable art guides and lets you know more about the museum’s history, the collection, and ongoing exhibitions.

Family tours, 30 min

Every other Sunday at 13.30 there is a guided tour of the museum for the whole family. Recommended for children from 5 years. The tour is followed by a creative workshop. Drop-in between 14-16. Material fee SEK 35 / child.


In addition to these times, it is possible to book a digital art experience or listen to the museum’s audio guide!


Book a private guided tour

Book a private tour for your class, work group or family. The tour lasts about 45-60 minutes and you choose which parts of the museum you are most interested in. Do you only want to see the current temporary exhibition or only the basic exhibitions – or maybe both? The maximum number per group is 30 people, but if you are a larger group, we are happy to book parallel tours.

Weekdays during the museum’s opening hours: SEK 1200 / Guided tour + admission SEK 75 / person

Weekdays outside the museum’s opening hours: : SEK 2 900 / Guided tour + admission SEK 75 / person

Weekends during the museum’s opening hours: SEK 2100 / Guided tour + admission SEK 75 / person

Weekends outside regular opening hours: SEK 3900 / Guided tour + admission SEK 75 / person

Prices for school groups

Primary and secondary school: SEK 750 / Guided tour

University, college and folk high school: SEK 950 / Guided tour

Free admission for pupils, students and accompanying teachers.

Book a digital art experience

Book a digital tour – perhaps as an after work for the whole company or as a nice way to gather family and friends at a distance! We offer digital tours in both Swedish and English. The guided tour takes place via Teams and lasts for about 45 minutes, including time for questions. This tours take place outside regular opening hours and can be booked on the following weekdays and times:

Tuesdays and Wednesdays: at 9.00, 10.00 or 17.15
Fridays: 9.00, 10.00 or 18.15
Price: SEK 2500

Saturdays and Sundays and other holidays: at 10.00, 11.00 or 17.15.
Price: SEK 3500

Skissernas Museum’s Audio Guide

With Skissernas Museum’s audio guide you can experience the museum at your own pace wherever you are! Let museum staff, artists, curators and many more guide you through the museum. Many audio tracks also have a rich image material if you swipe left. The audio guide is also available in English, select language under settings.
