Family programs

Family guided tours

Skissernas Museum – Museum of Artistic Process and Public Art offers guided tours for the whole family, in which children and adults discover the exhibitions and reflect on art together. On the basis of various themes, we go on an exciting voyage of discovery through the exhibits and get inspiration for our own creations in the workshop afterwards. Recommended from age 5 and up.

Sunday workshops

Every other Sunday, children and families are welcome to our drop-in activities in the creative workshops, where participants get to express themselves artistically and try working with various materials and techniques. In each session, we will take inspiration from a particular artist or art form in our exhibitions. To get the most out of the workshop theme, it is a good idea to take part in the family tour beforehand!

Holiday workshops

During school breaks, the museum invites schoolchildren to open midweek workshops where children and their families can be creative together. Keep an eye on the museum program to find out what is on offer during each term break!

Summer art school

In June, the museum runs its popular art school for children aged 7 to 12. Participants spend four mornings learning more about the art at the museum and working on their own art projects. The summer art school ends with a vernissage exhibiting all the art works produced during the week. More information about this year’s programme will be available in the spring.

Art course for teens

A new course on offer is an art course for teens aged 12 to 16 who are interested in art and creativity. The course consists of 6 freestanding sessions during the semester, in which participants get an opportunity to develop their pictorial language and try various artistic techniques. The course is offered on Wednesday afternoons during the weeks between the February break and the Easter break (weeks 9–14).
