Art and Process at Wanås

This exhibition celebrates the 25th anniversary of Wanås and includes a selection of works that have been completed since the turn of the millennium. This new phase is characterized by its focus on a smaller number of artists than in previous years, artists have been given the opportunity to carry out long-term extensive permanent installations with fundamental impact on the buildings and landscape at Wanås. During this time indoor permanent installations in grain barns and a storehouses meant becomes just as important as the art in the park at the same time as audio works become more prominent with permanent outdoor installations. Through films, texts, models and sketches – from free and associative to exact and more technical – the exhibition offers and opportunity to follow often complex and multifaceted work processes. The exhibition also includes some works created in relation to the projects and the artists’ stays at Wanås.
