Skissernas Museum Grand Opening!

We are now reopening the doors to the world’s largest collection of sketches and models for Swedish and international public art.

On Saturday 28 January 2017, at 16:00, Skissernas Museum – Museum of Artistic Process and Public Art will be re-inaugurated after extensive renovation work. Admission is free during the re-opening weekend. Follow us on Facebook.

We are inaugurating the museum’s new extension with a lobby, museum shop and restaurant PÅ SKISSERNAS, as well as the museum’s new converted inner courtyard, now the Birgit Rausing room. We are also opening our renewed permanent exhibitions with works by artists including SONIA DELAUNAY, DIEGO RIVERA and HENRI MATISSE.

In addition, we are opening four temporary exhibitions featuring contemporary artists and architects: SWOON, CHARLOTTE VON POEHL, ANDREAS ERIKSSON and ELDING OSCARSON.

The re-inauguration evening will also be the premiere for Skissernas Night, the first in a series of eventful evenings at Skissernas Museum – Museum of Artistic Process and Public Art. Artists from near and far will take part: CAVE DOGS, LUR and RAINDEAR.

Skissernas Night is arranged in cooperation with Sparbanken Skåne through support from Sparbanksstiftelsen Finn.
