Express yourself – Creative workshop for adults: art and social transformations
Express yourself is Skissernas Museum's creative workshop for young and adults. During four Thursdays this spring, you can explore your artistic talents with us based on different themes. No prior knowledge is required and you work entirely on your own level.
February 6 ART AND THE CITY
How do we experience the city and what do we want to do in it? Is there a place in the city that you miss? A place for spontaneous meetings, performances or rest? Come and make a suggestion for a place that you lack, build a three-dimensional sketch in different materials. Or make your own free continuation on semifinished houses. Drawing and collage.
March 5 ARTS AND SOCIAL TRANSFORMATIONS
The art of public space has often reflected and followed the transformations in our society. Maybe the art has also helped society change? Come and sketch and build a proposal for a public artwork that reflects a desired social transformation. What new power do you want to embody?
April 16 STORYTELLING
In the museum's temporary exhibition with Swedish artist Jockum Nordström, strange figures, animals, plants and objects populate places where memories, dreams and reality meet on equal terms beyond time and space. We are inspired by Jockum Nordström's visual stories with cut out figures in series. Come and create! Draw, cut and paste your story without words.
May 14 COLLAGE
Come and build a three-dimensional collage together in small and large cartons, with inspiration from Jockum Nordström's visual world and his buildings!
Students and young people under 25: Free admission. Others pay regular admission to the museum.
